Yazoo Insurance Agency is a third-generation family-owned and operated agency.  In 1959 Pat McGraw opened McGraw Insurance Agency in downtown Yazoo City.  Over the years Pat established himself as a reliable insurance professional and would soon welcome his son Bill McGraw into the agency in 1983.  Bill and Pat eventually decided it was time for the agency to grow, and were soon joined by Pat’s youngest son, Michael McGraw in 1993.  Growth would be achieved, largely in part to the 1995 acquisition of Yazoo Insurance Agency (founded in 1963), and of Barnwell & Barbour Insurance Agency (Yazoo’s oldest agency at the time) in 2002.  Over that time, Yazoo Insurance Agency established itself as an agriculturally centered agency providing coverage to the farms of the area.  In 2014, Neil McGraw joined the agency to work with his father, representing the third generation.
